Bad form?
Crossword 999 solution

As usual, several little misgivings niggled as I put this one together but all the clues I worried about met with approval from my checkers so in they went.

"Form One" in 21 across struck me as possibly too obscure for anyone who went to school after the primers and forms were abandoned as names for classes. (When was that? Or do they survive somewhere?) Of course I doubt that many of those generations tackle these puzzles. I'd certainly welcome news of any that do.

I also worried a little about the liberty I took with Norwegian spelling in 20 down. Surely it should be a fjordland. Changing both the spelling and capitalisation seemed a step too far but the clue instead won rare praise from one checker.
