by The Listener / 16 November, 2018

The prize

The Listener is giving readers the chance to win 1 of 40 double passes to the premiere screening of Mary Queen of Scots, as well as 20 in-season double passes for those outside the premiere location.

Starring Academy Award nominees Saoirse Ronan and Margot Robbie, Mary Queen of Scots explores the turbulent life of the charismatic Mary Stuart (Ronan). Queen of France at 16 and widowed by 18, Mary returns to her native Scotland to reclaim her rightful throne. But Scotland and England fall under the rule of the compelling Elizabeth I (Robbie). Female regents in a masculine world and rivals in power and in love, the two must decide how to play the game of marriage versus independence. Betrayal, rebellion and conspiracies within each court put both thrones into a state of peril, forever changing the course of history.

The premiere screening of Mary Queen of Scots will be held on Wednesday December 12, Rialto Newmarket, refreshments from 6pm, film starts 6.40pm.

In cinemas from January 17
